MOJO

Hello ladies I was looking around on my computer and realized it's been FAR TOO LONG between posts!! So I thought one better make an appearance before you all give up on me :0) The main reason for my absence is the simple loss of my crafty mojo :( I'm not sure where it went but it forgot to take me :) So after having a good clean up and sort out I think I'm getting back on track, another reason for my non-blogging has been due to some health issues nothing too serious just some hormones out of whack which made me TOTALLY out of whack!! So a trip to the naturapath and and some tonics and pills later and hey presto we think we might be sorted :) It will take a little while but I'll be back on track in no time!!
So while I hav'nt been blogging I've been doing the whole mummy/wifey thing and after being sooooo exhausted ALL the time I did'nt feel like doing much else. So now it's systems ago and I'm in the middle of getting together my christmas collection which I had planned on already having done, better late than never I say!! So please stay with me and stay tuned, pics of pretty things will start to appear!! Hope everyone is enjoying their creativity, I know I'm glad to slowly be getting mine back!!

Something Special

Hello all just a little post on something I got up to yesterday, it was a beautiful sunny day so we had a bit of a 'spring clean', lawns, windows, cupboards etc. This pic is of a cupboard I've had for a while now and have only just been able to do something with it. You see this 'horn' sewing cabinet was my mum's as she loved to sew but due to her illness in the end it just got too hard for her to sew, now that mum has passed dad said I could have it. YAY!! So now I have somewhere to put my machine ( mums machine and I always had a love/hate relationship) so yesterday I found some time and got to cleaning it out. Once I opened it memories came flooding back of when mum used to sew and when I was just starting to learn, I found some things to treasure like her measuring tape, her needle threader, cottons and some buttons I will one day make something to suit :) When I was cleaning it out my 6 year old said 'its got that old smell mum' and he was right but that smell to me had treasured memories attached, ones you dont realise matter until that person is gone. I then realised that when I was in the middle of fond memories that infact the very next day was mum's birthday, today she would of been 62. So today this is for you mum Happy Birthday! I know your with me every day but 3 years on I still miss you every day and wish you were here. So I will teasure and use this cabinet just as she would of wanted and maybe even a little makeover one day, I will then pass it on to Gemma whom I hope will love and treasure it too one day.
To everyone out there hug your loved ones and dont forget to tell them you love them and treasure the time you have as it is ever so important.

Paperific Shopping

Hello all I'm back in the land of blogging :0) !! After a big week of flat out doing buttons for the wonderful Miss Paula from Paula's Scrapbooking Place, for her retreat and then a few days without internet, boo hoo :( I'm back to normal and back to blogging, yay !! Well I have been quite busy, I went to Melbourne with Miss Eb ( the rockstar herself :) hee hee ) and with the help of the lovely Lisa whom was our personal travel service for the entire weekend! ( thanks lovie ) We had a great time shopping up a storm at Paperific and Paper 2 !! And now it's back to buttons and hopefully some serious sales because there's NO money left in my wallet!!
We did have a great time, Miss Paula took us in for a night, thanks dear :) and I got to see hear fab little studio that I kept hearing about at her retreats, and I must say its a bit cute :) Also thanks for the lovely dinner with all our fabo scrappy friends from melbourne, you girls are a riot !! I'm still laughing :) So it was a full weekend with lots of spending and then it was time to hop back on the train ( well bus first ) then the train to home :( But I will see these girls again next June at the retreat and I'm sure it will be a fun filled catch up with a little scrapping as well :) So thats where I'm at, will making new designs shortly, I just have one more big order for Sarah at Bliss then its back to loading up more on 'made it', so keep an eye out for some more groovy things to come :0)

Hello this is just a little post to say a very BIG THANK YOU to everyone for their button love :o) I cant thank you all enough and this week of sales for the launch of the 'spring time collection' has been awesome!!! I've sold out all bar 2 items which is brilliant I'm so very wrapped and have been working hard and will be ready to re-load items in the next couple of days. So if you missed out on something you wanted stay tuned!
Also I would like to thank miss eb for all her support ever since I started this button crazyness, she always says nice things about my designs and uses them on her LO's all the time :) But she does get an endless supply of Nellie G's !!!!! You see it goes like this - I make - she creates!!! Its fab because shes brilliant at what she does and I simply dont have the time to make the buttons then do the LO's as well!!!! I do get to scrap sometimes though :) So I'm sending all the love right back to everyone who has sent me the 'button love', stay tuned and keep your eye out in the next couple of days for when I re-load!!

Hello all jusst another post of the rest of my 'spring time collection' This first pack is called swirls centres because they are perfect for putting in the centre of flowers wheather it be paper, stamped, material or stitched flowers, too cute I say :)

This one is called Yellow Flower Pack and I really am liking the soft blue and yellow together.

This one is Orange Flower Pack, I would love to know what you all thought?

Are you ready for some more??

Ok ladies if yesterday's post wasn't enough to whett your appeite, here, as promised are some more of my designs from 'Spring Time Collection' Above is another of my fav's called Aqua flower pack these are a lovely soft aqua with raspberry accent buttons. Loving these two colours together even if I say so myself!!

These are the same only reversed, I've called it Raspberry flower pack, for obvious reasons!!

And last but not least stamped pack 4, now if your wondering how to use them on your pages just go to my blog list and click on miss eb's blog ( welcome to eb's space) and she has HEAPS of LO's with my buttons on them. Are you ready?

Ok ladies are you all ready??? I have been working very hard and can now proudly introduce the new Nellie G. Designs Spring Time Collection!! YAY!!! The first pic above is called 'Family' and the word is actually buttons too, included are stamped and the new teenie weenies :) Miss eb does love these!!

Who doesnt love strawberries??? These are cute on any project even quilting I'm thinking of designing a cushion just for these little babies and I've already have done a scrap page thats been waiting just for one of these!! Wot could you do with these? I would love to know :)

These I think are my absolute fav's this one is called stamped pack 3 and is the start of my 'stamped' range, consisting of hand cut and stamped, swirls which are great for flower centres and more teenie weenies!

This one is called stamped pack 2 consisting of the same as above just a different stamped pattern.

This one is stamped pack 1 and is a mix of the new stamped designs. Let me know what you think??? These are all available on 'made it' just click on my 'made it' badge and it will take you straight to my 'made it' shop!! I Did It!!

I did it, I did it, I did it!!!! Yay!! Centuries ago I promised I would put up a badge for my made it shop and drum roll please...................I've done it!!!! Do you love flowers?

This first pic is of our group photo from our weekend away at Paula's scrapbooking retreat where miss eb and I had a fab time:) I stole this pic from eb's blog (I'm sure she wont mind) As I was so busy packing and making sure I didnt forget any scrapping supplies I forgot to pack the camera!! Silly me!! This lovely bunch of ladies make the weekend so very enjoyable and I had such a great time like I said last post cant wait for next year!!

Now down to a goodie that I mentioned in the title of this post. The question is do you love flowers? Crochet ones of course!! These lovely flowers are from Miss Eb's mum who does a top job making and she is clearing out the old designs to make way for some groovy new ones, so if you pop on over to eb's blog,( Welcome to ebs space) and click onto her blog from my blog list way down the bottom of my blog here. Welcome!!

Hello everyone! Just a little post to touch base on whats been going on, firstly I have been and survived Paula's Scrapbooking Place's retreat at Lancefield and had an absoulute blast!! The ladies that go are all such fun and make everyone feel comfortable and welcome:) Thank-you ladies for making the weekend such an enjoyable time, counting down the days until next year already!! We all had fun but I think lots more chatting went on mixed in with a little creativity :) A girl's gotta chat doesnt she?? Also drum roll please........................................... WELCOME to LISA!!!!! She has become part of my little family of followers! Thank-you lisa for joining I hope you enjoy:) I met lisa at the retreat and she is a very creative little bunny herself :) She makes pretty material flowers for your pages and there all very cute! I got home and realised I did'nt purchase any!! Must get onto that!! Button Busy

Hello everyone :) Just a little post for you, when I looked at the dates its been over a month since I've posted anything! Gosh time flies when it's kids, school runs, husband, housework, trying to find a house plan etc. Life has just voomed by:) The little pic up top is what has been keeping busy lately. As I've posted before I'm off to Paula's Scrapbooking Place's retreat in just under 2 weeks!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been looking forward to this for AGES and I also know so has Miss EB!! Anyway this has kept me on my toes and I have to have it all done by next week YIKES!!!! Never fear Nellie G is here!! and I will get it done!! So I better run and get it done, hee hee I rhymed!! So I will be quite for a little while longer.

Yes I Scrap!

Hello All just thought I would put in a couple of pics for you to have a look at, this first LO is of Gemma and Maya and Miss Eb took the pic at her house, I just love this photo of the two of them together, 2 cute!

I used my littlest shoebox, just love love their papers, I use them all the time and I always seem to go for them first. The next pic is of Leigh and Jakob, please excuse the side on pic, forgot to rotate!! silly me!! But if you tilt your head ( without doing an injury:) ) you can see how I've used my buttons in the corner as a cluster, I'm really enjoying using them that way and down the bottom I've used one of my new designs 'retro birdie' isnt he cute!! I just love this photo of the two of them together, they really are good friends. I better run, trying to get a few things done before the weekend as on friday I'm off to Melbourne to the stitches and craft show and I'm one of the demonstraters at the craft bar helping out with kits and the cricut machines. I'm a little excited it will be an experience, so if your heading down there on friday come and say hi! After my big day of helping out I will be meeting up with hubby and having a nice dinner somewhere, so I cant wait, its been ages since just the two of us got away:) Hope your week is fab:)

Button Swap

Hello all thought I would actually come good with a promise of posting a pic:) Yes I have been madly making buttons and now that these are on their way to Paula @ Paula's Scrapbooking Place, I can now share what I've been up too! I'm very happy how these turned out and hoping the ladies that recieve them will be just as pleased, as I said they are for Paula because she has hosted a button swap and I could'nt resist of course:) If you would like to check out Paula's stuff pop on down to the bottom of my blog here and you can see her on my blog list, she hosts lots of fun things and has lots of things to look at in her ning site also Miss Eb is her No 1 designer. These buttons will be available in packs in my made it shop in about 2 weeks, just trying to get some stock done for a market I'm doing for Jakob's school called Fantastic Friday Fair so if your interested come on out to Allansford on Friday April 30th 6pm to 9pm and check it out, lots of crafts and things and lots of cakes, lollies and raffles to enter, all to raise money for goods for our new building at the school. Hello just another little post involving material, I've over visting my cousin Sue for the last couple of days and she works at this fab little ( well not so little ) quilt shop and she took me there for a little peek, well it was overload for the senses if your into material!! I was amazed at the amount of choice and different ranges there was, sooo many materials and not enough funds, boo hoo for me. I did manage to get a couple of things though, its hard to tell in the pic but I bought some navy flannel, a very pretty pink flannel and a - I could'nt resist- print for myself! The flannels are for backing for quilts for Jakob and Gemma and I have something groovy in mind for the print for myself. Now that I'm back from my very quick visit, I'm finishing off some more buttons and will post them shortly:) So I better run and thanks Sue for your hospitality and your lovely family keeping us entertained, next time it might be a trip without the kids!! Look What I Did!

Wow it's been a little while inbetween drinks as they say:) But I have been doing a few things and not completely sitting on my 'you know what!' As most would know it's been school holidays here and were at the end and Jakob's back off too school on Monday:) ( nooooo i'm not doing a happy dance shhhhhh) So no more lazy morning's and lazing about in our jammies until 10 o'clock in the morn and it's back to routine and mornings of go go go go, to get to school on time. It's been a busy 2 weeks and wow they've flown by sooo fast! We've had the easter bunny, play dates, my birthday (thanks for all my bday wishes and pressies) and of course chasing after the kids, I think I'm looking forward to a little normality again. Now getting to the pic above, guess what everyone...........I MADE IT MYSELF!!!!! I know, I know dont all faint from surprise (hee hee) but this is my very first completed quilt and I'm so proud of myself for finishing it, mind you it's the cheats way of quilting 'cause its a rag quilt, super quick and super easy, no binding here! All the same I'm happy with how it turned out and I'm calling it my vintage rag quilt, now all you quilters out there please dont look too closely or you'll see all the mistakes:) I'm even more pleased as it only cost me about $25 as I used material I already had and the batting was on special, bargain! Its not a full sized quilt but rather an oversized lap quilt for me when I'm wanting to snug up on the couch. Also buttons are being done, hope to place some more in my 'made it' shop shortly. So I hope you all survived the choc filled holidays and hope the easter bunny called your way.

A Shout Out

Hello thought I would 'pop in' a little post and 'check in' and tell what's been going on this week. Its been a crazy week my baby turned 3 and I'm a little sad, she's a baby no more:( But is EXTREMELY inderpendent which makes life a little easier for me - at times! So we had the party, I made the 'my little pony' pink cake which was ordered from miss herself, it all seemed to go well with a very worn out little miss by the end of the day:) Have started some mixed packs to put in my made it store, I know there are a few of you out there wondering:) And just a little 'shout out' to tanstar if you could e-mail me at janelle@westvic.com.au that would be great then I can chat to you properly! Hopefully your going to Paula's June retreat, hope the see you there!! I know I cant wait, no kids, no washing, no cooking, arhhhhhh bliss and an entire weekend of scrapping and nobody to worry about but myself:) Selfish I know! A friend of mine calls it much needed 'soul time', that made me giggle:) So thats all for now, hoping to have a much more productive week this coming one.

The Big News

Hello as promised I have some news that I'm a little excited to let you all know about. Drum roll please...................................I FINALLY have a made it store on http://www.madeit.com.au/ all you have to do is go to the website and go to stores then in the search banner type in nelliegdesigns and I should pop up:) As soon as I figure out how to do a linky thingy you can then click on the made it badge to take you there.Here's a pic of one little fellow I have on there, isnt he a cutie??!!

There are a few more pics to post but I thought this was a good start:) I only have a few on there at the moment but I will be adding new designs as I make them:) So go and check it out and I will try and figure out the linky thingy as promised, I might have to ask miss eb's help for that one! I'm learning all the time! Must go its DD's birthday party tomorrow and I have lots to do in the morning!! Cake is almost finished just the cake topper I cant put on until the morn as I used butter cream icing, yum! What I've been up to

Hello! Just thought I would pop in a little post with a pic to let you all know what I've been up to lately. In my last post I mentioned about the buttons I was busy with for Paula for Paula's scrapbooking place and the retreat she hosted on the weekend at Lancefield. Well this is a pic of mixed packets that I made for her. Once again a big THANK YOU to all the lovely ladies who purchased my buttons I really am so pleased they all sold! I have also been making some new designs and I have some very exciting news for all of you who have been enquiring about where to purchase my designs, BUT I'm going to tease you for just a tiny bit longer so stay tuned...........I'm mean I know!! Also must take a pic as I actually got to scrap last night with miss eb and miss jac at our monthly friday night craft night, sorry to see miss son couldn't make it, hope to see you next time son:) Thanks for a great night girls cant believe I got two whole pages done!! With everything else I have going on I do look forward to our friday night as I still enjoy scrapping very much but it always seems to be a time factor for me! Hello

Just a quickie post to say hi:) Just been a little busy this week, life has got in the way really. Damn kids!!! :) It's Gemma's birthday next Tuesday so I'm getting a few things ready for that and in a few spare minutes I've got I've made a couple of new designs, who doesnt love a cute little cottage??? I will stop teasing and post a pic VERY shortly:) A BIG thanks to all the girls who bought my buttons on the weekend @ Paula's Scrapbooking Retreat in Lancefield!!! Miss eb did tell from all reports you all had a blast!! I can't wait to catch up and see you all in June:) I'm a bit excited and REALLY can't wait, needing some overdue ME time!!!
