Lady Bug Clips

Hello all thought I would post a couple of pics and show what I've been making. This little fellow is a badge and looks he looks really cute pinned on bags, hats, scarfs, jackets and even wide stretchy head bands. He is the size of a 20 cent piece and comes in aqua, lolly pink and glitter red. You can pop him on anything you choose:) He sells for $4.00 plus postage and would make a VERY cute addition to your collection!!

This is a BAD shot and makes the back look awfully messy, trust me it doesnt look that bad in real life, but it does at least show you the badge pin at the back.

I finished making these little cuties, lady bug hair slides. The bug buttons themselves are about the size of a 10 cent piece, they are on very sturdy 5cm slides and are perfect for your little princesses or even the big princesses out there:)! I'm selling these for $6.00 a pair plus postage and if your interested please leave a comment in the comments:)

Hello all just kickin' back on a sunday arvo waiting for DH too return home, so I thought a quickie post was in order:) If you look to the right you will see we have a new member to the Nellie G. family, drum roll please.................WELCOME Tanstar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to the little Nellie G. Designs family and thankyou for becoming a follower!! If you all remember one of my completely selfish new years res was to get more followers signed up for 2010 and now I have 5 YAY 4 ME!!! Sounds silly but I'm excited! Been very busy this week and since DS has started school (BOO HOO 4 ME:() and goes for longer hours this coming week one has got a few buttony ideas up her sleeve and will be sharing shortly. What did you all think of my lady bug brooch? I think its cute and get a few comments when I ware it. Thanks to those who left a comment:) I love reading comments makes me feel loved! Sounds sad doesnt it! Must run, might go and take a few picks of a couple of other goodies I made.

Lady Bug

 
Check this out I've been a little busy with creating some different ways of using my buttons and I came up with this little guy, he's a brooch made of felt with hand stitching and my ladybug button, isnt he just the cutest!!!! There is also a matching ring I'll post that one tomorrow:) I'm just testing out my new photo programme, hopefully it all works properly!! Anyway just wanted to share hope you all like, I'm selling him for $9.00 plus postage, just leave a comment if your interested.

Tad excited

Ok so I have'nt posted in a little while, I've been very busy spending time with my friends and giving them my support as best I can and they're doing the best they can.
So to start afresh I have some VERY EXCITING NEWS!!!! I'm typing sitting on my lounge from my very own LAPTOP!!!! I am sooooooo very excited as this means all my computer probs have been put to rest and I can move forward with all the crafty things I want to do with Nellie G Designs:) Its been a huge week because dad has also finished off the room that is now set up for me and the kiddlits:) So after all the unpacking, rearranging, cleaning and such I'm ready to ROCK! So the last couple of days I've had a chance to have a play and have come up with a few goodies so as soon as I figure out how to load photos on this wonderful contraption hey presto I'll actually have something to show you all:) ALSO other VERY BIG NEWS is...................................drum roll please.........................CONGRATULATIONS to miss eb for becoming a MASTER!!!! Now anyone who is tapped into the scrapping world will know that Scrapbooking Memories FINALLY announced their top 10 scrapbooking masters for 2010 and our miss eb made the list!!!! YAY!!!! Now we all know that miss eb is my No 1 supporter in usage of Nellie G buttons so I'm very proud and happy for her acheivement:) So if you would like to check out her work in the mag pop down to the local newsagents and get yourself a copy of Scrapbooking Memories, have a look at the other girls too they all did very well:) You might even see a very cute owlie on miss eb's page that I just might of custom made for her project:) I'm a bit excited to see my work printed in full colour! Even if it was only part of the project I'm still stoked:) So all in all its been a very huge week so now its time to calm down and get to business:) Just for info if you do see the owlie I made for eb in the mag I do make him in normal button size and will have some soon, if your interested just leave me a comment and I'll let you know when there ready:)

Sad

When I thought about this post I really wasnt sure if I should or not since I like to keep it all about crafty things and not really anything personal but I feel this is too important to me not write about. You see although my new years post was light and happy I actually was typing with a heavy heart as last week one of my best friends had some beyond tragic news that her little girl passed away in the night. I cant describe how sad I feel for them I can see how their hearts have broken and I know they will never be the same, how could you be? It just doesnt make any sense, its just not far I would even go as far to say its just plain cruel, 2 more than loving parents and a wonderful family they just dont deserve to be going through this and if there was some magic way of bringing her back I would do it in a second. I feel so helpless, there's really not a lot I can do for them accept be there and hold their hands and give them a hug, I've never had to watch someone go through this kind of pain before even though my own mother passed away in her 50's a child is so much worse she wont even get to see her 2nd birthday, go to kindy, have a boyfriend, drive a car all the things we take for granted. She was such a happy little girl with an infectious smile and her chubby little cheeks, my friends beautiful little girl. So as today we say good-bye I know we will meet her again one day and she will be watching over her family especially her very brave mummy and daddy and I will be in that very big line to give her a gigantic hug. So when you read this just remember we are so lucky to have the ones we love around us and maybe hug your kids just that little bit tighter and tell them just how much you really do love them. RIP baby Tia forever will our hearts be heavy.

Welcome 2010

Hello and welcome to 2010, I cant believe it really is 2010!!! I remember it turning 2000 and thinking wow 2010 is sooooooooooo far away! Well here it is. I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years Eve and not too many sore heads the next day:) We had a relative quiet one with just a few friends from the speedway crowd, they were lying low due to racing the next night, so we just had a BBQ and some drinks, played the WII (highly recommend after a few scotches! lots of fun:))! and watched 12am rock around, I think it was one of the best New Years I've had yet, just totally relaxed and lots of fun! Computer issues are driving me crazy and with all the public holidays its put it all back a bit BUT MY DEAR DAD has offered to buy me an EARLY birthday pressie a LAPTOP!!!!!!! MY DAD ROCKS!!! I am a bit spoilt but there is method in his maddness 'cause if I have a laptop that means I leave his computer alone and he can have it all back to himself!!! Thanks dad:)So when I get that all organised I'll be ready to rock and roll:) May I say I'm just a tad excited!!!Also I would like to mention a big HELLO and WELCOME to corrie who must of heard my plea for people to sign up as followers and let me know their watching, thanks corrie lovely to have you on board!!!:) So I hope everyone brought in the new year safe and sound and with a bang and look out 2010 HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!

Best Wishes

Hello to all hope you all had a lovely chrissy and hope your plans for New years goes off with a bang:)!! We had a GREAT christmas day, as our family is quite small I usually only have to cook for about 8 but this year all the cousins, all bar one, decided they were coming for lunch too plus hubby's grandmother so I had to pull out all stops for 14!! Hence the 5 KILO piece of piggy I had to cook. It all turned out well, the kids were super exicited that santa brought a WII for the whole family and he remembered to drink his beer ( naughty I know) and the reindeers were VERY messy and scattered their special glittery food all over the verander!! Oh and santa ate all of his gingerbread bikkies! All came ate and were merry, including me thanks to a couple of scotches:) Well it was christmas afterall!! And I'm fairly sure everyone enjoyed themselves and guess what?!! I DIDNT burn the piggy and the crackling was sensational even if I do say so myself!! So I hope you all had the best day ever and santa brought you everything you hoped for and wishing you a brilliant 2010!! What are your new years resoultions? Mine is completely selfish and that is to gain more bloggy friends so if your following PLEASE LET ME KNOW! And of course the usual lose weight and all that stuff:) Sorry I have no pics still sorting out the computer situation, hopefully VERY soon! One more thing, I would like to say a very special thanks and hugs to my friend miss eb who has helped emensely this year in promoting my buttons although not always stated she uses them quite a lot and in 2010 I will be posting many more pics of them. So THANKS eb for all your help:) Thats all for now, many nice wishes to you all and see you next year!:)
