Look What I Did!

Wow it's been a little while inbetween drinks as they say:) But I have been doing a few things and not completely sitting on my 'you know what!' As most would know it's been school holidays here and were at the end and Jakob's back off too school on Monday:) ( nooooo i'm not doing a happy dance shhhhhh) So no more lazy morning's and lazing about in our jammies until 10 o'clock in the morn and it's back to routine and mornings of go go go go, to get to school on time. It's been a busy 2 weeks and wow they've flown by sooo fast! We've had the easter bunny, play dates, my birthday (thanks for all my bday wishes and pressies) and of course chasing after the kids, I think I'm looking forward to a little normality again. Now getting to the pic above, guess what everyone...........I MADE IT MYSELF!!!!! I know, I know dont all faint from surprise (hee hee) but this is my very first completed quilt and I'm so proud of myself for finishing it, mind you it's the cheats way of quilting 'cause its a rag quilt, super quick and super easy, no binding here! All the same I'm happy with how it turned out and I'm calling it my vintage rag quilt, now all you quilters out there please dont look too closely or you'll see all the mistakes:) I'm even more pleased as it only cost me about $25 as I used material I already had and the batting was on special, bargain! Its not a full sized quilt but rather an oversized lap quilt for me when I'm wanting to snug up on the couch. Also buttons are being done, hope to place some more in my 'made it' shop shortly. So I hope you all survived the choc filled holidays and hope the easter bunny called your way.

A Shout Out

Hello thought I would 'pop in' a little post and 'check in' and tell what's been going on this week. Its been a crazy week my baby turned 3 and I'm a little sad, she's a baby no more:( But is EXTREMELY inderpendent which makes life a little easier for me - at times! So we had the party, I made the 'my little pony' pink cake which was ordered from miss herself, it all seemed to go well with a very worn out little miss by the end of the day:) Have started some mixed packs to put in my made it store, I know there are a few of you out there wondering:) And just a little 'shout out' to tanstar if you could e-mail me at janelle@westvic.com.au that would be great then I can chat to you properly! Hopefully your going to Paula's June retreat, hope the see you there!! I know I cant wait, no kids, no washing, no cooking, arhhhhhh bliss and an entire weekend of scrapping and nobody to worry about but myself:) Selfish I know! A friend of mine calls it much needed 'soul time', that made me giggle:) So thats all for now, hoping to have a much more productive week this coming one.

The Big News

Hello as promised I have some news that I'm a little excited to let you all know about. Drum roll please...................................I FINALLY have a made it store on http://www.madeit.com.au/ all you have to do is go to the website and go to stores then in the search banner type in nelliegdesigns and I should pop up:) As soon as I figure out how to do a linky thingy you can then click on the made it badge to take you there.Here's a pic of one little fellow I have on there, isnt he a cutie??!!

There are a few more pics to post but I thought this was a good start:) I only have a few on there at the moment but I will be adding new designs as I make them:) So go and check it out and I will try and figure out the linky thingy as promised, I might have to ask miss eb's help for that one! I'm learning all the time! Must go its DD's birthday party tomorrow and I have lots to do in the morning!! Cake is almost finished just the cake topper I cant put on until the morn as I used butter cream icing, yum! What I've been up to

Hello! Just thought I would pop in a little post with a pic to let you all know what I've been up to lately. In my last post I mentioned about the buttons I was busy with for Paula for Paula's scrapbooking place and the retreat she hosted on the weekend at Lancefield. Well this is a pic of mixed packets that I made for her. Once again a big THANK YOU to all the lovely ladies who purchased my buttons I really am so pleased they all sold! I have also been making some new designs and I have some very exciting news for all of you who have been enquiring about where to purchase my designs, BUT I'm going to tease you for just a tiny bit longer so stay tuned...........I'm mean I know!! Also must take a pic as I actually got to scrap last night with miss eb and miss jac at our monthly friday night craft night, sorry to see miss son couldn't make it, hope to see you next time son:) Thanks for a great night girls cant believe I got two whole pages done!! With everything else I have going on I do look forward to our friday night as I still enjoy scrapping very much but it always seems to be a time factor for me! Better run as its DD birthday party on Monday and I have lots too prepare tomorrow!! Remember stay tuned as I will be annoucing my news very very soon.

Hello

Just a quickie post to say hi:) Just been a little busy this week, life has got in the way really. Damn kids!!! :) It's Gemma's birthday next Tuesday so I'm getting a few things ready for that and in a few spare minutes I've got I've made a couple of new designs, who doesnt love a cute little cottage??? I will stop teasing and post a pic VERY shortly:) A BIG thanks to all the girls who bought my buttons on the weekend @ Paula's Scrapbooking Retreat in Lancefield!!! Miss eb did tell from all reports you all had a blast!! I can't wait to catch up and see you all in June:) I'm a bit excited and REALLY can't wait, needing some overdue ME time!!! Better run motherhood calls.

BUSY...

Hello all just thought I would put in a little post let you know what I've been up too. I'm madly making my mixed packets of buttons for Paula from Paula's Scrapbooking Place as she is hosting one of her fab retreats on the 26th of feb in Lancefield and miss eb ( the master herself:)!) is teaching there and is doubling as my courier:) So once their out of the way I'll be posting a couple of my new designs and a little secret I've been holding onto for a while which I now can reveal, so stay tuned............... Also as I've been welcoming new followers as they pop up I've got a HUGE hello and WELCOME to tanstar!!! YAY welcome to the family!!!! Thanks for joining and I hope you enjoy:) Also there is another follower that joined and its not very often you see a guy join as a follower especially when its a craft blog but anyway WELCOME some of you know him as DH ta da.... MY HUBBY leigh!!!! I laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair when I logged on to see he had joined as a follower! Of course he didnt tell me just waited to see how long it would take me to notice:) Well guess I better watch my p & q's now I know he's watching!! Well thats about it hope you all had a lovely valentines day, I did, recovering after the AC/DC concert which was too good to true! The were ******* awesome!!

Lady Bug Silde

Hi all just thought I would post this pic of my lady bug slides with my wonderful model DD. The other pic I posted yesterday wasnt so good and I took this one this morning and its shows it much better. She has little red glitter wings with black rhinestone dots for a bit of bling.
